Hysteroscopy is a surgical procedure that allows doctors to look inside the uterus for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, particularly to address excessive bleeding. The process involves using a thin, lighted, camera-equipped instrument called a hysteroscope, which is inserted through the vagina to inspect the cervix and the interior of the uterus.
