He completed MBBS from Madras University, Chennai, India in 1991, MS – General Surgery from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU) in 1995 and MCh – Surgical Gastroenterology/G.I. Surgery from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU) in 1990.
